REVERIE WORKS · PLAYABLE IN DEVELOPMENT
01 / Welcome to Sombra
A workshop at the edge of sleep.
A cozy surreal crafting life-sim about turning memory and emotion into matter—and deciding whether comfort is the same thing as healing.
You wake in Sombra with a workshop, a title, and no useful explanation. The town needs a Thoughtsmith. The previous one is gone. Their machines still run.
Gather strange materials, learn four tactile crafts, build a life among Sombra’s residents, and discover why the kindest-looking answer is not always the kind one.

What someone asks for is not always what they need.
The surface
Make impossible things for ordinary reasons.
Residents bring you practical problems with emotional shapes: a night that will not settle, a memory that has become too sharp, courage needed for one specific door. You gather the raw matter of those feelings and turn it into something they can hold.
The work is physical and systemic. Materials have affinities. Stations change what a feeling can become. Quality comes from attention, placement, timing, and the relationships between objects in your workshop.
Gather
Catch Sunmotes, pull Nettle Root, mine Comfort Wax, and stabilize emotional glitches across Sombra.
Experiment
Combine materials by temperament and emotional affinity. Failure still produces knowledge—and sometimes currency.
Deliver
Hand the finished work to people whose requests are only the visible edge of longer lives.
The tension
Care can become control without changing its voice.
A product can make someone feel better immediately. That does not mean it gives them back what was taken—or leaves them free to choose what happens next.
Reverie Works never turns this into a morality meter. It gives you a workshop, a community, and enough time to notice the difference between smoothing a feeling away and helping a person carry it honestly.
