COUNTY CONTINUITY OFFICE · ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT RECORD

CONTINUITY ANNEX 6

A single-player, PSX-inspired tactical extraction survival-horror FPS about preparing well, entering Hollowbrook, and leaving before observation becomes contact.

County Continuity Annex 6 is a legitimate office with a bad budget, a good records department, and responsibilities no county charter could have anticipated. It is where field equipment is repaired, routes are argued over, injuries are recorded, and the impossible receives an intake number.

From here, one operator prepares for excursions into Hollowbrook: choose what fits, study the last verified record, enter alone, search for supplies and evidence, survive what occupies the area, and extract before the route home stops agreeing with the map.

A Maintained Place to Return To

The Annex is a working home base rather than a supernatural attraction. Dispatch checks the weather. Evidence intake checks seals. The armory counts ammunition twice. A steel desk can be more reassuring than a locked door because the desk has remained where the floor plan says it should be.

What returns from Hollowbrook changes future preparation: new routes, recovered tools, physical specimens, injuries, missing equipment, and rules learned at cost. Home is safer than the field, but safe custody is not the same thing as safety.

A maintained but underfunded operations room holds maps, filing cabinets, radios, clocks, and a central worktable under old fluorescent fixtures.

Survival Is a Chain of Small Accounts

Marksmanship and awareness matter, but so do injury, stamina, hunger, thirst, ammunition, equipment wear, and the small amount one person can carry. Combat is dangerous rather than constant. The useful decision may be to hide, abandon an objective, or leave before the area provides one more clue.

Prepare
Select tools, medical supplies, ammunition, food, water, and one acceptable loss.
Observe
Read boundaries, light, sound, tracks, disturbed material, and route repetition.
Commit
Search, recover, fight, or withdraw while the operational picture remains legible.
Extract
Reach a verified exit with whatever evidence and physical condition the field allowed.
Document
Convert one frightening encounter into a rule another operator can use.

Chronology Is an Equipment Problem

The building has been renovated in pieces. Fluorescent housings, filing systems, radios, clocks, and door hardware belong to overlapping decades. County purchase records explain most of it. The remainder is not discussed in the entrance file.

Controlled Trials begins where ordinary maintenance ends: with measurements that work, procedures that repeat, and specimens whose bodies refuse the assumptions behind both.

An empty green institutional corridor joins doors, clocks, noticeboards, and lighting fixtures from several different decades.

Visual Development Record

Current concept work establishes the project's institutional calm, rural isolation, obsolete equipment, wet-road darkness, physical creature design, and restrained evidence language. It is visual direction—not final gameplay imagery.

END OF FILE 01

Annex procedure begins with a modest promise: prepare carefully, return if possible, and write down what remained true.
